Hammer Union Cutaway
DAC Worldwide's Hammer Union Cutaway (295-708) is a sectioned piping component sample that allows for convenient classroom training in the design, application, use, and safety considerations for hammer unions commonly used in the assembly of temporary piping systems within oil & gas production applications. Through carefully planned sectioning and color-coding, the complete internal configuration of the union is exposed and showcased.
The cutaway area focuses on the union’s sealing surfaces and their geometry, facilitating discussions regarding mismatched unions from different manufacturers in different figure styles. These unions, while commonly used in oil & gas production applications, are also found in other temporary piping installations, replacing traditional flanged connections.
