DAC Worldwide’s Vertical Coupling/Shaft Alignment Training System (207-000) is a heavy-duty, precision learning system that allows for convenient, realistic training in shaft alignment. When paired with a variety of hands-on exercises, the system creates a complete performance-based course in the maintenance of shaft alignment.
The system requires the #208-015 Magnetic Base/Dial Indicator Set, #208-001 Tool Kit, and #207-003 Elastomeric Element Coupling. It also includes four flanged bearing units, 4-point "motor element" jacking, 1"-diameter ground shafting, toolset, and #510-000 IPT Industrial Trades Training Manual.
The Vertical Coupling/Shaft Alignment Training System has a design based on the configuration found in many vertical centrifugal pumps and accommodates all types of alignment apparatus, including laser systems. Through its realistic features and versatility, this lightweight, yet rigid training fixture will make any training session more productive, convenient, and professional.
Learners will use industrial-grade components to study topics such as performing a four-point motor element jacking, mastering usage of a dial indicator in coupling/shaft alignment, troubleshooting angular and parallel misalignment, and installing a flexible disc coupling. Not only do the components provide durability to stand up to frequent use, but they also aid learners in becoming better prepared for the tasks they will encounter on the job.
The system features a heavy-duty steel baseplate with provision for tabletop mounting. It requires a minimal number of tools, and its rigid construction allows for alignment within .001”. It also comes with four steel pads, an Allen wrench set, combination wrenches, and more.
The Vertical Coupling/Shaft Alignment Training System’s courseware consists of an IPT Industrial Trades Training Manual and a Use/Exercise Guide with hands-on exercises. These can be used as part of either an instructor-led course or self-directed study. Learners will explore a wide variety of fundamental vertical coupling and shaft alignment topics.
