Somos Element was developed in close interaction with customers, pattern makers and foundries for printing investment casting patterns. The antimony-free stereolithography material improves the repeatability and quality of 3D printed casting patterns. Patterns created with Somos Element have strong green strength, are dimensionally stable during storage, and leave minimal ash residue after burnout. Any residue left behind is easily removed, leaving a spotless void in the ceramic mold. This translates into less mold prep and lower rework rates, saving customers time and money.
