DAC Worldwide’s Brake Clutch Training System (220-PACP) is a complete, motorized training package of brake and clutch-related hardware and control components. The package includes a Brake Clutch Trainer (220), a Programmable Micro-Controller Panel Assembly (220-001), a Pneumatic Supply Control and Distribution Panel Assembly (220-006), and an Abbreviated Tool Kit (330-011). An Electromechanical Bench (902) is also recommended.

Using this training system, learners will explore how brakes and clutches are used for training in various sectors, including the design, application, control, wiring, and maintenance of common industrial components. The trainer covers industry-relevant skills, such as installing, operating, and troubleshooting brakes and clutches in a variety of applications.

This basic mechanical trainer includes a dual-voltage motor, Lovejoy couplings, an electro-magnetic brake and clutch assembly, a tensioning brake assembly, and much more. Learners will use these components to study topics such as mechanical principles, seals/gaskets, lubrication, and troubleshooting. This system utilizes industry-grade components, providing durability to stand up to frequent use, and to aid learners in becoming better prepared for the tasks they will encounter on the job.

Practice Hands-On Mechanical Skills for Various Applications

The hands-on Brake Clutch Training System features a durable, flexible system mount, including a 7-gauge steel, control assembly support structure, electrical enclosure, instrumentation, and component mounting surface. It includes a two-pole, panel-mounted circuit breaker, emergency stop switch, two (2) Variable-DC controls, and a dedicated brake, motor, and DC control connecting cables. Learners will use these components to practice hands-on skills, such as using manual front-panel switches, connecting banana-jacks in combination with an external PLC, and troubleshooting an electro-magnetic brake and clutch assembly.

In addition, the training system features a keyed instructor power switch, as well as a modular design, which allows for additional, more personalized study of other option brake and clutch types as needed by the user.
